A socially ambitious wife tries to persuade her husband to attend a society ball, even though he doesn't want to go. She finally convinces him by promising to take along a neighbor couple. However, in case he might need a little \"comforting\" at the ball, he takes along a flask of liquor. Once he gets there, he gets bored and starts taking \"sips\" from the flask.
