Following a brutal artillery barrage on the 17th of July 1916, the South African Army was forced into a tactical retreat. However, through the chaos, a nurse, a soldier and an unarmed stretcher bearer all end up together and have to work as a team in order to survive the night and reach the safety of the reserve trench line.
