Observations midway through film:

Could understand as a case study for a dysfunctional autistic male.

He has very little understanding of his interior life (alexithymia). He doesn't know what upsets him (e.g. hearing his sisters talk about embarrassing moments of his past) and continues to be caught in these situations because of habit and lack of alternatives. No clear understand of needs either. He refuses to display his emotions and has no appropriate outlet, resulting in these intense moments of lashing out (e.g. him smashing up the bathroom at a restaurant for making social mistake). As expected, these moments of lashing out create more trouble for him materially and emotionally, leading to a negative cycle.
